Westbury-on-Trym Baptist Church will be commemorating its 80th anniversary in 2027. There will be an Anniversary Celebration Service on Sunday April 25 and a community day of celebration on Saturday June 19, 2027.
The buildings have grown from the original huts to the buildings that can be seen today on Reedley Road – buildings that have been used and continue to be used for so many things alongside the regular worship services.
The church is planning to put together a book of memories and would love to include as many as it can.
Maybe you have memories of your connection with the church through toddler groups, pre-school, uniformed organisations, youth club, young people’s fellowship, women’s fellowship, Senior Circle, Tuesday Together, Tuesday Lunch, Refresh Lunch Café, Refresh Saturday Café, dedication services, baptisms, weddings, School Bus Coffee Stop, film night, Table Talkers, and many more.
So many organisations have been able to use the church building for their activities and meetings over the decades and the church would be delighted to hear about these and any other memories you’d like to share.
And please do pass the message on to those who may have moved out of the area, but who would still have great stories to include.
For more information or to share a memory for the book, please email Annie at: eighty@westburybaptist.org.uk. They are looking forward to hearing from you.
