Representatives from sectors including space science, healthcare, technology, construction, sport, media, publishing, environmental sustainability, education, policing, hospitality and the creative industries were on hand to share their experiences and inspire the next generation. Participating organisations included the UK Space Agency, University of Bristol, UWE, NHS, Avon Wildlife Trust, Bristol Rovers Community Trust, Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation, ss Great Britain, and Orion Publishers.

The event was officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Bristol Councillor Yassin Mohamud.
