Bristol Rovers Community Trust (BRCT) has handed over a substantial donation of football kit and boots to Mitch Brunning, organiser of Kits for Kenya.
Adam Tutton, chief executive of BRCT, said: “This donation brings together the generosity of our community and the power of football to connect people. Everyone who has donated a pair of boots over the past month has helped make it possible. Those boots, alongside our kit, can help more players take part, feel part of a team and enjoy the friendships, confidence and opportunities that football can bring. There is an environmental benefit too. Keeping usable equipment in circulation makes better use of resources and helps reduce waste.
“We are proud to support Mitch and Kits for Kenya, and to see something rooted in Bristol’s football community reach players thousands of miles away.”
Mitch, founder of Severn Beach Wanderers, is undertaking 12 fundraising challenges over 12 months, from August 2026 to July 2027. His appeal is raising money to support travel to Kakamega, a town in western Kenyam and the provision of football kits, boots, balls and training equipment to local teams, working in connection with Isongo Green Commandos FC.
