A new city centre circular bus service and a one-hour ticket are being considered as part of a £4 million upgrade.
A one-hour ticket would let passengers catch two different buses in the same journey, instead of having to pay twice.
The city centre loop bus would run anti-clockwise, potentially running from Temple Meads to Old Market, Cabot Circus, Broadmead, the Centre and Redcliffe.
These are two ideas for how best to invest income from the Clean Air Zone to make travel in Bristol easier. Another is to reduce fares for day rider
tickets.
The city council’s transport policy committee voted last month to set up a task group of councillors to discuss how to spend the £4 million, with new bus services or ticket changes potentially launching in April or September next year.
